Sofas and Stuff

Furniture delivery:

All of our bespoke sofas, chairs, footstools and beds are handmade to order here in Britain. Lead times will vary between models and at different times of year, but generally are between 8 to 12 weeks, though can be longer if your chosen fabric is not in stock with the manufacturer.

When do we deliver?

We deliver Monday to Friday between 7am and 4pm.

Once your furniture has arrived at our warehouse, our team will email you with a suggested delivery date.

Your order will be allocated a time slot one working day before delivery. We ask that you confirm this time slot is suitable.

Mainland delivery charges

We charge £99 for delivery of up to 3 pieces to anywhere in mainland England, Wales or central belt Scotland, unless you live in an especially hard to reach area of the UK.

For 4 - 5 pieces our delivery charge is £159.

For 6 - 9 pieces our delivery charge is £219.

For 10 pieces or more please call us on 0808 178 3211 for a personalised quotation.

For delivery on clearance items please contact your local showroom.

Charges for international delivery and hard-to-reach areas

If your postcode is AB, DD, DG, ML, or PA, our delivery charge is £129.

Please call us on 0808 178 3211 for a personalised quotation if your delivery falls into any of the following categories:

  • Isle of Wight and all other UK offshore addresses

  • Addresses in the following postcodes: HS, IV, KA, KW, KY, PH, TD and ZE

  • European deliveries

Please note, if your delivery is an awkward one, for example, in a hard-to-access location, up a few flights of stairs with no lift, etc. your delivery may incur extra cost. Please call 0808 178 3211 before ordering and speak to one of our team, who will be able to advise you fully.

Getting ready for your new sofa or bed

At Sofas & Stuff we have our own, highly skilled, white glove delivery team who will do everything they can to make your delivery as smooth an experience as possible.

Forewarned is forearmed and with the right information, we can be prepared in advance to manage tricky access. Please check the approach to your home for overhanging trees and other potential impediments to access, and flag up any possible difficulties before we set out to deliver your furniture. Please also check for fragile items outside your home that could be moved before delivery: statues, flower pots, bird tables, hanging lanterns etc.

Inside the house, let us know if there are any tight areas such as narrow corridors, doorways or staircases. If possible, take down or move any valuable paintings, mirrors or ornaments that could be damaged during the delivery and placing of your furniture.

We can arrange an access check for £49 if you're unsure if your new furniture will fit. Please contact your local showroom for more information.

Furniture returns

We offer a fuss-free returns policy on all orders placed through the website, where there has been no contact with a showroom. This promise applies to sofas, sofa beds, footstools, chairs and beds in fabrics selected from our website, provided you unwrap and inspect the goods on delivery and advise the carrier of any defects at that time. It does not apply to corner or chaise units, or to any special 'made to order' items, including furniture made in fabrics that are not available on the website.

Please note that goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised (made to measure) CANNOT be cancelled, refunded or exchanged. We may allow an order to be returned, but we will charge a 25% restocking fee and 75% credit note towards a new purchase. We will not accept refunds. This is entirely at our discretion.

Mattresses, however, can only be returned if their packaging has not been opened.

We firmly stand by our craftsmanship and are proud to offer a lifetime guarantee on all of our British made sofa and chair frames.

Fabric delivery and returns:

Fabric only orders have FREE delivery for UK mainland addresses applies to our Exclusive fabrics only. For full details of what this covers, please see our T&Cs. As the fabrics are printed and/or cut to order, we cannot accept returns and exchanges of fabrics purchased by the metre, unless they are faulty.

If you receive a damaged or incorrect order, please contact our head office on 01798 300353 Option 2 or email support@sofasandstuff.com within 7 days of receiving your order. We will arrange for a replacement or refund as quickly as possible.
