Contemporary form. Individual expression.
Since the British edition first appeared in 1929, Harper’s Bazaar has brought fashion into conversation with art, photography, literature, design, interiors and travel. Its pages have reflected the creative culture of successive eras, with an editorial perspective that extends beyond what we wear to how we live.
For this collaboration, we have drawn on six covers from the British archive, dating from 1930 to 1959. Reinterpreted for upholstery, details of line, colour, pattern and tailoring find new expression in the home.

Houndstooth is one of fashion’s most recognisable patterns, its distinctive broken check giving it a strong graphic identity. On a sofa or chair, its familiar geometry takes on a fresh sense of scale and presence.
A recurring motif in Harper’s Bazaar over the decades, Houndstooth takes its particular inspiration from the tailoring featured on a January 1959 cover, photographed by Richard Dormer.
The design is available as both a printed and woven fabric.
Harper’s Bazaar brings its distinctive editorial perspective; we bring our knowledge of furniture, fabric, colour, comfort and British craftsmanship. Grounded in a shared appreciation of creativity, quality and enduring design, the collaboration sits naturally within FRAME, a collection shaped by different periods, references and ideas rather than one prescribed view of contemporary living.
